Allen E. Hurd

Allen E. Hurd, age 74, of New Paris, OH went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. He was born December 7, 1950 in Hagerstown, MD to the late John William and Maxine Hilda Hurd. Allen was a U.S. Navy Veteran that served during the Vietnam War. He qualified for the 1972 Olympics in Munich but was unable to participate due to his deployment to the Vietnam War. He was a devoted Christian that loved the Lord, his wife, children and all of his family. He especially enjoyed family get-togethers; and was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed attending National Trail sporting events. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alejandra Margarita Hurd; brother Johnny Hurd; grandsons Enrique Williams and Daniel Hurd; and daughter-in-law Angela Greenfield. He is survived by his children: son Dennis Greenfield, daughter Ola (Jim) Angel, son Robert (Tracy) Hurd, daughter Maria (Jason) Sibila; son Allen E. (Bethann) Hurd, Jr., son Clay (Wendi) Hurd, son Steve (Stephanie) Hurd, and daughters Angel Hurd, Rebekah Hurd, Elizabeth Allison and Sierra Allison; granddaughter Rachel (Cody) Jennings and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister Debbie (Harry) Landis; brother Jeff (Luanne) Hurd; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Mound Hill Cemetery (new section), Eaton, OH. Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.
