Arthur J. McCray

Arthur J.  McCray, age 92, of Eaton, OH passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Grandview Hospital.  He was born October 20, 1930 in Dayton, OH to the late Herbert and Clara McCray. Arthur grew up on a farm and farmed into his adulthood. He then went on to work for Chrysler where he retired after several years of employment. Arthur was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and enjoyed spending time with his family. His grandchildren were his world. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Frances Coleen McCray. He is survived by his son, Allen (Tanya) McCray of Eaton; grandchildren: McKenzie McCray (Nick Bissen), Jordan McCray and Hunter McCray; as well as numerous other family members and friends. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Burial will be at Lower Miami Cemetery, Dayton, OH.  Memorial contributions may be made to Preble County Council on Aging https://prebleseniorcenter.org/support/donate/.
