Betty S. Bowers

Betty S. Bowers, age 84, of Eaton, OH, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Vancrest Health Care Center, Eaton, OH. She was born September 3, 1928 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late James B. and Evon (Gates) Welborn. Betty farmed for many years with her husband Bill and also worked part-time at Producers Livestock Company in Eaton. She was a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, Eaton, OH. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister Virginia Welborn; and brother Buddy Welborn. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William F. Bowers of Eaton, OH; daughter Linda (Gary) Woesner of Eaton, OH; son William D. (Janet) Bowers of Eaton, OH; brothers Jerry (Jane) Welborn of Liberty, IN and James “Buster” (Juanita) Welborn of Tyner, KY; sister Corrine Price of Middletown, OH; grandchildren Clint (Holly) Woesner, Karah Woesner, Brian Woesner, Martha Woesner, William M. (Amanda) Bowers, Matthew (Betsy) Bowers, Angela (Chris) Cruze, Elisha (Tom) Cotton and Shawn (Lisa) Cox; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Darrtown Cemetery, Darrtown, OH. Friends will be received on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Friday.
