Betty Bernice Ardery Sheets

Betty Bernice Ardery Sheets, age 101, of Greenville, OH, died at the Brethren Retirement Community, on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021. She was born on August 30,1920 in Union County, Indiana to Harry and Freda (Smith) Ardery. She graduated from College Corner High school in 1938. She married Ellis G. Sheets on Feb. 21, 1942. In 1969, she graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio with a Teaching Degree and taught Third Grade at Westbrook Elementary in Brookville, Ohio for 16 years. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Richmond, IN; Preble County, Ohio Historical Society; and Preble County Retired Teachers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ellis G. Sheets in 2017, her parents, and her brother and sister-in-law James D. and Kirsten Ardery. She is survived by three sons, David (Mary Jane), Richmond, IN, Michael (Wilma), Troy, OH and Philip (Pam), Berne, IN; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Services will be at the convenience of the family with burial in College Corner Cemetery, Union County, Indiana. Gard Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Eaton is assisting with the family arrangements.
