C. Alice McLaughlin

C. Alice McLaughlin, age 87, of Eaton, OH, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Vancrest Health Care Center, Eaton, OH. She was born May 6, 1924 in Eaton, OH to the late Walter C. and Nellie M. (Spencer) McLaughlin. Alice graduated from Dixon High School, Dixon Twp. and attended the Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary from 1955 to 1957; she was a member of The Church of Christ, Eaton, OH where she also was a member of the Women’s Fellowship Group; and she worked many years in the Optometry Office of Doctors Henry, Reising and Burkhart of Richmond, IN, followed by working at Hubble’s Cards and Gifts for several years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother Walter R. McLaughlin. She is survived by her niece Joyce (Clint) Bostick of Piqua, OH; nephews Jeff (Darla) McLaughlin of Dayton, OH, Jim McLaughlin of West Alexandria, OH and James (Nancy) Weir of Dayton, OH; sister-in-law Martha McLaughlin of West Alexandria, OH; several cousins; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at The Church of Christ, 725 U.S. Route 35 West, Eaton, OH 45320 with Minister Paul Nickols officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
