Carl Robert "Bob" Walton III

Carl Robert “Bob” Walton III, age 83, of Eaton, OH, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at his residence.  He was born March 3, 1940 in Salisbury, NC to the late Carl Robert Walton Jr. and Sara R. (West) Walton.  Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran that served with the 101st Airborne Division; was a member of Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton; and he worked for many years at St. Clair Supply Company as a manager of the Henny Penny Equipment.  He enjoyed airplanes, playing tennis, and scuba diving later in his life.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karla J. Walton; son Rob (Denise) Walton; son Dave (Sheila) Walton; daughter Sissy (Kevin) Rasmussen; son Steve (Leslie) Walton; daughter Sondra Day; grandchildren: Tyler, Clayton, Derrick, Austin, Claire and Lacy; great granddaughter Emma; sisters Sara (George) Pollock and Mary Theresa (Vernon) Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton.  Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Preble County Council on Aging, 800 St. Clair Street, Eaton, OH 45320.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
