Carol L. Braughton

Carol L. Braughton, age 81, of Eaton, OH passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 with her family by her side at the Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, OH. She was born October 10, 1943 in Eaton to the late Lee and Ethel Quesenberry. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herschel Thomas Braughton, Sr.; brother Don Quesenberry; grandson Levi Bresher; and son-in-law Rick Sparkman. She is survived by her daughters Carol R. Braughton of Eaton, TaeLea (Cory) Jones of Eaton and Cheryl Sparkman of Franklin; sons Jack (Cindy Walker) Karns of Eaton; Herschel (Eunice Dillard) Braughton, Jr. of Lewisburg, Herschel (Bobbi) Braughton III of Lewisburg, Thomas (Chrissy) Braughton of Eaton and Thom (Tequila) Braughton of Eaton; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; sisters Betty Jones and Joan Henson both of Florida; sisters-in-law Joann Moore and Linda Johnson both of New Paris; cousin Paul Quesenberry of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Hugh Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Wares Chapel Cemetery in West Manchester, OH.
