Carol E. Unger

Carol E. Unger, age 87, of Eaton, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Vancrest of Eaton Health Care Center. She was born July 9, 1937 in Miami County, OH to the late Walter and Ruth (Heisey) Wissinger. Carol was a 1955 graduate of Verona High School; she was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Richmond; member of the Preble County Porkettes, Red Hat Society and Merry Homemakers Club; and farmed alongside her husband Larry for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Josh Unger; and sister-in-law Kathy Wissinger. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Larry Unger of Eaton; daughter Tonya (David) Lee of Eldorado; sons Kevin (Ann) Unger of Eaton and Kerry (Rhonda) Unger of Eaton; 10 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sister Shirley (Gary) Bowman of Brookville; brother Randy (Sherry) Wissinger of Miamisburg; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Gard Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH.
