Carolyn Sue Reinhart

Carolyn Sue Reinhart, age 89, of Eaton, OH passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at her daughter’s home. She was born August 9, 1935 in Springfield, OH to the late Stanley H. And Evelyn H. (Malahy) Jung. Carolyn was an active member of Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton, where she taught CCD second grade for many years and was a member of St. Anne’s Sodality. She always said that she had a very special connection with the Virgin Mary. When her health was declining in later years and she wasn’t able to attend church, she would go and pray at The Grotto, which was a special place to her. She was a caregiver her entire life, especially to her daughter Mary Anne. She and her husband owned and worked at Reinhart’s Apple Orchard and later greenhouse; she worked at Tri-County North School as a cook until she retired. Carolyn was very family-oriented, and her daughters were everything to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William A. Reinhart in 1987; and daughter Mary Anne Reinhart in 2019. She is survived by her daughters Melissa Benline, Thelma (Alan) Halderman and Nancy Nave; grandchildren Jason Eckley, Heather (Tim) Jordan, Aubrey (Joshua) Hickey, Chelsea Halderman, Elizabeth (Todd) Francis, Robert (Jennifer) Nave; and 13 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, OH. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, OH.
