PAINTER, Ceron E., age 92 of West Alexandria, OH. died Mon. May 19, 2014 in Dayton. He was born in Farmland, IN. on Aug. 21, 1921 to Carl and Emma (Morris) Painter. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps in Normandy and Germany during WWII. He had retired from General Motors, Frigidaire division in 1974, after 34 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Luella (Winland) Painter in 2009. He was a member of First Brethren Church and a member of Lodge #88 F. & A.M. Ceron was a dedicated blood donor amassing over 30+gallons of donations during his life. He was an avid woodworker hobbyist who served his family, church and many others in the community with various beautiful projects. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Julie Painter, Centerville, OH., 3 granddaughters, Donna (Johnny) Monroe, Greens Fork, IN., Diane (Scott) Griffith, Troy, OH., Linda Harrison (Kevin Caplinger), Eaton, OH., 5 great grandchildren Anthony (Anna) Smith, Amanda (Steve) Stout, Jonathon (Falon) Kleinberg, Aaron Monroe, Mark Kleinberg, and 2 great great grandchildren, Lucas Owen Stout and Kelsey Rae Smith. Also deceased was a brother, Morris Painter and 2 sisters, Lea Pursley and Mary Spangler. Funeral services will be held 11:30 A.M. Fri. May 23, 2014 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, OH, with Rev. Ray Samborsky officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.
