Charlene J. Kelch

Charlene J. Kelch, age 78, of Eaton, OH passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at Vancrest Health Care Center, Eaton, OH after an extended illness. She was born December 22, 1933 in New Bremen, OH to the late Wilbur Herman and Donna (Bartlett) Schroer. She was a graduate of New Bremen High School and a graduate of Lima Memorial Hospital Nursing College. She worked as a registered nurse for 40 years at Grandview Hospital, Dayton, OH. She was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Eaton, OH where she was also a member of the Grace Lutheran Church Women. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her infant sister Charlotte Schroer. She is survived by her husband Bob G. Kelch of Eaton (Lakengren), OH; son David Kelch of Dayton, OH; daughter Vicki (Chris) Jackson of Eaton (Lakengren), OH; daughter Jayne Kelch of Dayton, OH; son Doug Kelch of Mesa, AZ; daughter Susan (Brad) Creech of Eaton (Lakengren), OH; grandchildren Ben, Rachel, Nicholas, A.J., Shannon, Steve, Sara, Cassie and Ricky; great granddaughter Jaysha; brother Steve (Linda) Schroer of New Bremen, OH; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Grace Lutheran Church, 111 Lutheran Drive, Eaton, OH with Rev. Warren Reichert officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.
