Charles E. Fisher, age 82 years 9 months and 29 days, of Eaton, OH passed away on Thursday November 29, 2012 at his residence. He was born January 31, 1930 in Eaton to the late Ross B. and Mabel Irene (Wehrly) Fisher. He was baptized into the Old German Baptist Church where he remained faithful. He was always a good provider, spiritual guide, husband, father and grandfather. He will always be remembered for his humor and optimistic outlook on life. He worked for 32 years at E.A. Eikenberry of Eaton and retired from Brubaker Grain in Collinsville in 2011. He enjoyed farming on the same farm he had lived on since he was 9 weeks old. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one great grandson Owen; two brothers Dale and Alfred; and one sister-in-law Barbara. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Betty Lou (Angle) Fisher; two sons Greg Fisher of Centerville, IN and Ed (Shirley) Fisher, West Alexandria, OH; daughter Joyce (Curt) Garber, Arcanum, OH; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister Naomi Padgett, Greenville, OH; sister-in-law Betty Fisher of Lewisburg, OH; and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, three miles south of Eldorado, OH on State Route 726 with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2nd from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 5:30 to 8:00 pm at the church. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
