Charles Ray Slough

Charles Ray Slough, age 92, of Gratis, OH passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton.  He was born April 29, 1930 in Middletown, OH to the late Wilbert and Wilma (Clevenger) Slough.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran that served during the Korean War; and retired from Armco Steel in 1984.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Cecelia Marie Slough who passed away in 2007; brother Richard Slough; and sisters Shirley Johnson and Marion Knight.  He is survived by his two daughters: Cheryl Kay (Steve) Mikesell and Rhonda Azbill; grandchildren: Courtney (Joel) Daniels, Kyle (Mary) Wilson, James Azbill, Charles Azbill, and January Azbill; numerous great-grandchildren; brother James (Eilene) Slough; sister Jean Randall; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324, Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent to www.gardfuneralhome.com
