Christopher Barrett Woods, age 50, of West Alexandria, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 2, 1975 in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Twin Valley South High School in 1993.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Tonya Rieger-Woods and by his two sons, Jesse and Logan Woods, and their wives, Mikaela and Macy Woods. In July of 2025, his story will be carried beyond into a new generation with his first grandson, Beckett Woods, son of Jesse and Mikaela.
He leaves behind his parents Elaine (Woods) and Larry McMurray and Sheryl Byrd, siblings December and Kevin Goad, Brittany and Nick Satinover, Thomas and Chelsea Byrd, and Stephen and Amanda Byrd, and grandmother Marilyn Bassler.
Chris was firm in his faith,and instilled it upon many others around him. His love for our Creator was unmatched, and shines as an example to others who seek everlasting life through our Father in Heaven.
Chris stood as a leader to many, and a friend to all. His successful career is adorned with many roles and titles, but his greatest treasure through it all was the friendships and bonds he formed with those around him as the site leader at Adare Pharma Solutions.
He was a strong Seahawks fan from a young age, with a vast admiration for sports of all kinds.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Glen Byrd, and grandparents Roy and Jean Woods, Joe and Jewell McMurray, Rev. Herman Bassler. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. While his time with us on earth will be cherished, his family looks forward to the day they will be reunited as one.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Salem Lutheran Church, 70 E. Dayton Street, West Alexandria, OH where those attending are encouraged to wear their favorite sports attire in honor of Chris. A private graveside service will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.
