Colletta M. Lunsford

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Colletta Lunsford (Bourne). Colletta was born December 28,1961 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton Ohio. Her mother had health problems, so Colletta was raised by her aunt Joyce and uncle Bill Bourne who raised Colletta as their own. She grew up in Eaton, Ohio and attended Eaton High School where she studied various subjects and graduated in 1979. She met Darryl Lunsford in Eaton, and they were married and had three children Daniel, Shannon, and Hannah. Colletta was a homemaker and caregiver to many family members and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved our annual family reunions. Other interests included being outdoors camping, fishing, cooking, swimming, playing cards, and listening to music. Colletta will be most remembered for her kindness, caring nature, her smile, and laughter. She would do anything for anyone and if she loved you, you knew that you were loved because she loved very deeply. Colletta was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Gardner (Grover); mother/aunt, Joyce Bourne; father /uncle, Bill Bourne; and brothers, Robin and Andy Bourne. She is survived by her loving ex-husband and friend, Darryl Lunsford; son, Daniel; daughters, Shannon and Hannah Lunsford; grandchildren, Noah, Elijah, Landon, Bryson, and Caden; siblings, Scott and wife Pauline Bourne, Terri and husband Allen Agee, Michael Bourne, Douglas Bourne, Maleah and Jermaine Miller; sister-in-law, Barbara (Rob) Bourne; and many nieces’, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 2-3pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at Gard Funeral Home (226 West Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320.
