Daniel "Danny" Shaffer

Daniel "Danny"  D. Shaffer, age 39 of Eaton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2022. He was born February, 11, 1983 in Harrisburg, Illinois, son of Vanessa (Joseph) Dowds and Charles (Ida) Shaffer Jr.

Danny was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a jack of all trades, working construction and had just received his certification for welding. He enjoyed working on cars, music, building, playing cards, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

Danny was the life of the party and enjoyed bringing happiness to those around him. His favorite motto was “I gotta do me”. He never knew a stranger and was willing to give anything he had to someone in need. He loved to cook and eat, especially anything cheese. 

Through all of his troubles and demons, Danny had a love for God and was strong in his Faith and we know we will see him again. 

He is survived by his parents; siblings, Michael (Kristi) Shaffer, Shaun Shaffer, Jennifer (Gregg) Goldy; maternal grandmother, Darlene “Dolly” Wagner; 9 nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Private services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
