Diane Sue Straw, age 83, of New Paris, OH peacefully passed away on May 7, 2024, at Wayne Hospital in Greenville, OH. She was born on September 7, 1940, in Campbellstown, OH to the late Harry and Anna Straw. Diane led a fulfilling life marked by dedication and hard work. Her career spanned roles at Sears in Richmond, MacDonald Sales Center, Holthouse Furniture, Knights Inn, AAA, Eaton Loan and Home Aid, Hertz Rent-a-car, Citizens Federal and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. Her commitment to excellence shone through in all her endeavors. She graduated from Jackson High School and went on to earn a Secretarial Degree from Miami-Jacobs Business College while also attending Sinclair College. Diane's thirst for knowledge and passion for education were evident throughout her life. Among Diane's proudest accomplishments was her volunteer work with Scouts and church youth. She touched the lives of many through her selfless dedication to youth. Diane is survived by her son Ritch (Amy) Foust; daughters Gretchen (Jeff) Naidenoff and Kirsta (Jerry) Solove; grandchildren Nathan Foust, Trever Foust and Laura Foust, Cheyenne Pyle, Colton Pyle; 4 great grandchildren; and special friend Pork Chop Charley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Straw. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH 45320.
