Donald E. "Arnie" Stayrook

Donald E. “Arnie” Stayrook, age 70, of West Alexandria, OH passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024.  He was born in Dayton, OH on July 13, 1953 to Raymond and Mildred (Smith) Stayrook.  Arnie was a graduate of Twin Valley South High School and served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy.  He retired from the U.S. Postal Service.  He is survived by his wife Peggy Stayrook, his daughter Beth Stayrook, his granddaughter Kaelyn Stayrook, his brother Frank Rivers, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son Zeke Stayrook, his parents, and siblings: Wanda DeCarlo, Sam Stayrook, Raymond Stayrook Jr., Larry Stayrook, Janet Donthnier, Joyce Foster, Forest “Red” Rivers, and Patricia Austin.  No family services scheduled at this time.  Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, West Alexandria is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial donations may be sent to Ohio Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
