Doris Montfort

MONTFORT,  Doris G., age 93, formerly of West Alexandria, OH. passed away peacefully on June 25, 2012 at Canyon Creek Adult Family Home, Brush Prairie, WA.  She had moved there in 2008 to be closer to her family.  Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and her son, Steven.  She was born in Sugar Tree Ridge, near Hillsboro, OH. on Jan. 27, 1919 to Clement and Ethel B. Gaymon.  Her parents moved to Wilmington, OH. when Doris was a young girl and Doris graduated from Wilmington High School.  She met her husband, Harold in Wilmington and they were married Sept. 2, 1938.  His job took him to West Alexandria, OH. in 1943.  Doris was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker.  She loved to laugh and have fun with her family and friends playing badmitten, horseshoes, bowling, bridge and occasionally poker.  Her husband, Harold had built their own home in West Alexandria and Doris spent over 50 years there.  They had many family vacations where they went fishing, camping and adventures out West.  She is survived by her daughter, Susan Montfort, Vancouver, WA., and son, John and his partner, John Howell, from Wailuku, HI. , her daughter-in-law, Margie Montfort, granddaughters, Danielle Nanevicz and her husband, Tom, and Renee'Dillaman and her husband, Pat, and great grandchildren, Taylor, Ann Marie and Jackson Steven Lee Dillaman.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 2, 2012 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in West Alexandria, OH.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.  For condolences: lindloffzimmerman.com
