Doris J. Wagner

Doris J. Wagner, age 88, of Eaton, OH, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born August 16, 1924 in Eaton to the late Lonzo and Cecil (Spencer) Warner. She was a former member of the Full Gospel Temple in Eaton and was currently attending Go Ministries in New Paris since 2002. She served with the Jail Ministry of Montgomery County since 1986; and served with the Prayer Partner Trinity Broadcasting Network since 1982. Doris was also a member of the Red Hat Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald A. “Jerry” Wagner, who passed away on July 30, 1992; brothers Millard “Bud”, Ralph, Fred, John and James Warner; and sisters Freda Whalen, Ann Kelhoffer and Mary Steele. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Patty Wagner of Eaton; daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Tom Dearth of Miamisburg; daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Alan Cox of Richmond; grandchildren Scot Wagner, Randy (Leanne) Wagner, Brandy (Rodney) Brown, Adrienne (Shawn) Greth, Jocelyn Hodson and Ross (Elizabeth) Dearth; great grandchildren Madelyn, Kennedy, Lilly, Eli, Jackson and Mason; adopted daughter Sharon Townsend of Eaton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Doug Townsend and Pastor Raymond Rothwell officiating. Burial will be in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, OH. Friends will be received from 2:00-5:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the funeral home.
