Dorothy M. Davis

Dorothy M. Davis, age 86, of Eaton, OH passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton. She was born October 4, 1931 in Benhams, VA to the late William and Goldia Moore. Dorothy was a member of the Eaton Baptist Temple. She managed the Shores Five and Dime Store for 22 years followed by 15 years as a custodian at Neaton Auto Products Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Davis who passed away in 1994; daughter Vicki Maish in 1987; grandsons Ross Eric Mullins and Michael Maish; granddaughter Melissa Howell; and 7 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her son Robert (Linda) Davis of Eaton; daughters: Linda (Sterling) Wright, Hope (Ross) Mullins and Joy (Bill) Shockley all of Eaton; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister Becky Hubek of Eaton; brothers Jack (Marilyn) Moore and Lawrence Moore both of Eaton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Bryan Hoskins and Rev. Lowell Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Preble Memory Gardens in West Alexandria, OH. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
