Dorothy A. Lindsey

Dorothy A. Lindsey, age 92, of Eaton, OH passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, OH. She was born June 3, 1921 in Dayton to the late Earl and Laura (George) Rike. She was a member of the Rachel Rebekah Lodge #144, Eaton and the Eagles Lodge, Eaton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband Cliff Spence; her second husband Robert Lindsey; sisters Marjorie Cottrell, Betty Houser and Rosemary Wehrley; and brother Pete Rike. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Sandy Spence of Eaton; grandsons Richard (Tamara Marker) Spence, Martin (Doris) Spence, William (Tracy) Spence and James (Mandi Mullins) Spence all of Eaton; great grandchildren Stephanie, Matthew, Derek, Shenna, Jessica, Shea, Shawn, Ashley, Lori, Shane, Samantha, Dominick, Sabrina, Jade, Dustin, Tonya and Amanda; numerous great great grandchildren; sister Thelma Sarver; brother Don Rike; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton with Pastor Chris Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the funeral home.
