Douglas A. Noland, age 60, of West Alexandria, OH passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. He was born August 11, 1953 in West Milton, OH to the late Delbert and Jean Noland. Doug was a 1971 graduate of Twin Valley High School; was a graduate of Sinclair College with an Associates Degree in Mechanics; was U.S. Army Veteran was an active member of the New Life Baptist Church in Boston, IN where he was also a trustee; he was a self-employed construction worker; was a practical joker and loved to make people smile and laugh; enjoyed making homemade ice cream; and most of all loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law Ronald H. Brewer; and nephew Christopher Clark. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pamela J. Noland; son Dale T. Noland; daughters Dawn R. (Jeremy) Sparks and Donna M. (Brian) Tolle; grandchildren Dalton Noland, Dylan Noland, John Alan Tolle and soon to be granddaughter Sparks; brother Dan (Sarah) Noland; sisters Debbie (Jim) Wilkinson, Diane (Norm) Bisson, Denise (Rick) Dennis and Darla (Dave) Weber; mother-in-law Marty Brewer; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the New Life Baptist Church, Boston, IN with Pastor Gary Sellers officiating. Burial will be in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, OH. Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and one hour prior to services on Saturday, all at the church.
