Earl J. Lawson

Earl J. Lawson, age 82, of Camden, OH passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at McCullough-Hyde Hospital, Oxford, OH with his family by his side. He was born December 19, 1930 in Wolfe County, KY to the late William and Linny (Helton) Lawson. Earl was an avid horseman and was a member of the Preble County Horseman Council. He was employed as a pressman for Interstate Folding Box Company of Middletown, OH for 40 years, retiring in 1996. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Faye Wright and Gertrude Lawson. He is survived by his wife Josephine “Jo” Lawson; sons Timothy (Kathy) Lawson of Germantown, OH and Terry (Robin) Lawson of West Elkton, OH; sisters Omalie Helton, Ruby Centers and Jewell Bailey; brother Billie Lawson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH 45320 with Rev. Lowell Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
