Earl Potten, Jr., age 71, of College Corner, OH passed away on New Year Eve, December 31st, 2018, after a long illness. As were his wishes, no services will be held, but any cards or condolences are more than welcome. He is preceded in death by his mother Mila Emily, and his sister, Vivian. He is survived by his wife, and two daughters. Earl was born on March 4, 1947 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Following High School, he was accepted into the Navy ROTC program and received his BA in Political Science through Miami University of Ohio. He became a Lt. Jr. Grade in the U.S. Navy. He ended his military career May 22, 1972, with an honorable discharge. He married the love of his life, Kathryn Hacker, on August 30th 1974. His proudest accomplishment was raising two daughters, Lacey, age 29, and Emily, age 26. He enjoyed playing and watching baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds. He loved Jesus with all of his heart, coming to know the Lord later in life. His Bible and Bible Study books were full of notes, and he had a passion for truth.
