Edwin Hornsby, age 90, of Camden, OH, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, Oxford, OH. He was born June 2, 1921 in Harlan County, KY to the late Ellie and Charlotte Hornsby. Edwin was a former member of the “Three C’s” and was U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII; was a member of Higher Heights Church of God, Camden, OH; and retired from General Motors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife Burtia Elizabeth Hornsby of Camden, OH; daughters Patricia Walter of Camden, OH and Pamela Colwell of Fairfield, OH; sons Daniel Hornsby of Eaton, OH, Lee Vernon Hornsby of the Philippines and Tony Hornsby of Jacksonville, FL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Butler Memorial Gardens, Trenton, OH with Pastor Marvin Hocker officiating.
