Eleanor C. Silvers

Eleanor C. Silvers, age 96, of Eaton, OH passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Vancrest of Eaton Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 2, 1928 in Eaton to the late Arthur Lee Sr. and Norma Campbell. Eleanor was a 1946 graduate of Eaton High School; was a retired honorary member of the Eaton Country Club; was a 65 year member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority in Eaton; was a longtime member of the Eaton United Methodist Church; and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was also an avid participant at the YMCA water aerobics; enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren sporting events; and was an avid supporter of Eaton Eagles Athletics. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Howard Gordon Silvers; brother Fred Campbell; brothers and sisters-in-law Lee and Dorothea “Dot” Campbell, Jr. and William and Phyllis Campbell; and infant granddaughter Jennifer Silvers. She is survived by her son Mark (Nan) Silvers of Eaton, OH; daughter Nancy Silvers of Columbus, OH; son Steve (Deb) Silvers of Powell, OH; grandchildren Angie (Mike) Soloman of Denver, CO, Beth (Josh) Thompson of Louisville, KY, Tim (Heather) Silvers of Cincinnati, OH, Erik (Beth) Silvers of Delaware, OH and Evan Silvers of Powell, OH; great grandchildren Asher Thompson, Wyatt Soloman, Luke Soloman, Grant Silvers and Beau Silvers; sister-in-law Dottie Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service at 2:30 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 6077 Far Hils Avenue #117, Dayton, OH 45459.
