Ethel R. Raby

Ethel R. Raby, age 84, of Eaton, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN.  She was born January 26, 1937 in Rutherford County, NC to Addie Lee and Nora Mae Blankenship.  She enjoyed attending church and singing gospel music; and most recently attended Freedom Southern Baptist Church in Richmond, IN.  As a hobby, she enjoyed making ornaments and jewelry with bead art.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Clyde Raby; daughter Theresa Ann Raby; brothers John, Archie and Fred Blankenship; and sisters Mary Blankenship and Margie Hall.  She is survived by her sons Jack (Linda) Raby of Greenville, OH and Larry (Sherry) Raby of Eaton, OH; sister Carolyn (Howard) Wallace of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren: Stephanie (Nate) Schlafman, Daniel (Anusha) Raby, Rebekah Raby and Matthew (Meagan) Raby; great grandchildren: Caleb and Collin Schlafman and Addison Raby; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  A private family graveside will take place at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, OH.  Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the Vancrest Activity Fund, 1600 Park Avenue, Eaton, OH 45320..
