Gary L. Brubaker

Gary L. Brubaker, 69, of Eaton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Dad was surrounded by his wife and children at Valley Hospital in Winchester, Virginia, after suffering a stroke while driving truck and fellowshipping with Brethren, which were both highlights of his life. He was born on January 22, 1956, to Darrell and Yvonne Brubaker. On June 21, 1975, he was united in marriage with Pat Miller. On July 13, 1975, they accepted Christ as their Savior, were baptized, and are members of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Dad and Mom were blessed with four sons and one daughter. 

Dad enjoyed spending his time working in the family business and serving the ag community. He spent many hours driving truck and working in the fields yet always made time for his family and mentored anyone in need of a listening ear. 

Dad will be missed and remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 49 1/2 years; his children: Roland & Marla, Reuben & Beth, Ryan & Bethany, Jake & Rochelle Wray, Rex & Molly; 36 grandchildren: (Jeremy) Lynelle, (Patrick) Lauren, Layna, Lyndon, Layton; (Matthew) Dinah, (Andrew) Abigail, Korissa, (Scott) Makayla, Myrah, Matthan, Andrew; (Triston) Zimra, Zaide, Asher, Aizen, Kidron, Kezia, Tylen, Talia, Shira, Selah, Jubal, Jansen, Micaiah, Mayah; Jasmine, Chloe, Aliana, Danika, Kyler, Raelyn, Vienna, Mariah; Tysen, Skylie; and 3 great grandchildren. Three brothers and their wives: Galen & Connie, Greg & Becky, and Gene & Jenny; brothers and sister-in-law: Gene Miller, Don Wilcox, and Darrell & Gloria Denlinger. Preceding him in death are his parents, parents-in-law Robert & Martha Miller, and sisters-in-law Marcia Miller & Carolyn Wilcox.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Upper Twin Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 3614 Halderman Rd., West Alexandria, OH. Burial will follow immediately at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at church and Thursday, February 13 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and 5:00 to 8:00 PM at church. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements.
