PERKINS, Gary Wayne, age 73 of West Alexandria, OH. passed away unexpectedly on Sat. March 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Dayton, OH. on July 29, 1941 to Max and Marjorie (Mangan) Perkins. He was a proud alumni member of the Dixie Greyhounds, where he played numerous sports and participated in the 1958 State Basketball Tournament. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army and worked at Dayton Press for over 20 years. In the early 1980âs he started his own company, Perkins Excavating. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Arlene Perkins, his daughter (Lisa (Ken), Werbrich, granddaughter, Colleen Werbrich, all of West Alexandria, OH., sisters-in-law, Virginia (Ladis) Pittl, Marilyn Gray-Brock, brothers-in-law, Dean (Margaret) Gray, Wayne Gray, nieces, nephew and special friend, Darren Murray. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Mary Perkins, and his sister, Barbara Johnson. Gary loved the outdoors, gardening and fishing.
