Gene Allan Wysong

Gene Allan Wysong, age 87, of Eaton, OH, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 15th, 2024. Gene was born February 5th, 1937 in West Alexandria, OH to the late George and Gladys (Netzley) Wysong. Gene retired after 40 years at Beau Townsend Ford as a mechanic. He was an avid Nascar fan and loved going to antique tractor shows with his family. He graduated in 1955 from Eaton High School and went on to marry his wife of 66 years, Sally (Wigger) Wysong on May 31, 1958. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara (Harold) Hart, Sharon (Charlie) Hoover, and Mary Ann Wysong; brother Dale Wysong; and nephew Randy Wysong. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sally Wysong of Eaton, OH; daughter Danita (Mark) Mowen of Eaton, OH; son Allan (Delora) Wysong of Eaton, OH; grandchildren, Krista (Nick) Wheeler, Daniel Wysong, Michael (Sarah) Wysong, Megan (Bobby) Clark, and Lauren Mowen; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jenna, and Ella Wheeler, Garrett and Reagan Wysong, Rylynn, Whitley, and Harper Clark; sister-in-law Florence Wysong; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A two-hour visitation will be held at Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main St, Eaton, OH 45320 on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Roger Stine officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. The family would like to invite everyone to The Eaton Place, 125 Eaton Lewisburg Rd in Eaton after the burial for food and fellowship.
