Genevieve J. Daily

Genevieve J. Daily, age 91, of Eaton, OH, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center, Eaton, OH. She was born July 25, 1922 in Dayton, OH to the late Everett and Mabel (Boomershine) Handley. She was an active member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Eaton, OH. She retired from Parker-Hannifin Company after 17 years of employment. She was a past board member of the American Cancer Society local chapter; was a member of the Red Hat Society, Eaton, OH; was a founding member of the Preble County Singles; and was an avid traveler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford E. Daily, who passed away in 1968; son Richard E. Daily, who passed away in 2009; infant brother Carlton Daily; infant sister Virginia Daily; and sister Charlotte Handley Webb. She is survived by her daughter Joanne Studebaker of New Paris, OH; sons Don (Rita) Daily of West Alexandria and Dan (Sue) Daily of Eaton, OH; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, 120 North Maple Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Chris Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton, OH. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.
