George Daniel Sokol,

George Daniel Sokol, III, age 58, of Eaton, OH, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015. He was born on November 10, 1956 in Hampton, VA to George and Yvonne Sokol. He was a U.S. Army Veteran; he retired as an IT Manager from George Mason University; and was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father George Sokol in 1985 and brother Craig Sokol. He is survived by his mother Yvonne Sokol of Eaton, OH; daughter Rita Sokol of Virginia; son George Anthony Sokol, IV of Virginia; sister Donna (Daryl) Marsh of Eaton; brothers Matthew Sokol of Richmond, Ronald (Barbara) Sokol of Tennessee and Michael Sokol of Texas; former wife Angela McMenamin of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 5:30 pm at the Visitation Catholic Church with Father Gene Vonderhaar officiating. Interment will be at the Dayton National VA Cemetery, Dayton, OH at the convenience of the family.
