George VanHoose

VANHOOSE, George C., age 81 of West Alexandria, OH. died Sun. Oct 5, 2014 at home after a lengthy illness.  He was born in KY. on June 6, 1933 to Clifford VanHoose and Telia Boyd .  He was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He had retired from Parker-Hannifan Mfg. in Eaton, OH.  He was an active member of James E. Ryan Post #322 American Legion, Preble County Honor Guard, Gratis Eagles Lodge.  He is survived by his wife, “Jerri” who he married on Mar. 2, 1957, 2 daughters, Martha Jo Linderman, Covington, GA., Carol (David) Grisham, Claremore, OK., 6 grandchildren, Amy Jo and Caleb Blacker, Sarah (Chris) Worley, Autumn (Aaron) Kleinschmidt, Erika Newland,(David), Alanna Grisham, Stefan Grisham, 13  great grandchildren, 4 sisters, 2 brothers.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, 2 sisters, and a son-in-law,  Kenny Linderman.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thurs. Oct. 9, 2014 at Camden Community Church, where George and Jerri had started their life together in 1957.  Family will receive friends from 1:00P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
