Glen Robert Butler, age 85, of Eaton, OH passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Maple Gardens Nursing Center in Eaton. He was born March 14, 1933 in Greenwich Village, OH to the late Glen Roy and Carrie (Brown) Butler. Glen was a graduate of Eaton High School, receiving his diploma in 2013; was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict; was a member of both Post # 215 Eaton and Post #360 New Paris American Legions; was an NRA member; was a member of the GWRRA Motorcycle Club; and was a member of the American Legiant Riders Motorcycle Club and Patriot Guard Riders. Glen retired from Baxter Company in Eaton after 22 years of employment; and also worked at Pleasant Vineyard Ministries in Camden for 12 years. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Carl Butler; and sisters Louise Corwin and Helen Eshbaugh. He is survived by his wife Betty L. Butler of Eaton; sons Glen Robert (Rebecca) Butler, II of Camden and Kenneth (Kathy) Butler of Eaton; his second family: Denise (Dave) Brummett of Camden, Tammy (Bud) Jones of New Paris, Scott Henning of Beavercreek, Jay (Michelle) Henning of Eaton and Connie (Chris) Wooton of Somerville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 10:00 am until time of funeral services at 11:00 am at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Stan VanAusdal officiating. Burial will follow at Preble Memory Gardens in West Alexandria with military honors provided by the U.S. Army and Preble County Honor Guard.
