Gordon E. Kangas

Gordon E. Kangas, Sr., age 77, of Eaton, OH passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born July 20, 1935 in Eveleth, MN to the late George and Aili (Eskolia) Kangas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Chuck Kangas and sister Sheila Kangas. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie A. (Mann) Kangas of Eaton, OH; daughters Lynn Rice of Minneapolis, MN and Cynthia (Bishop Terry) Owens of Ft. Wayne, IN; sons Gordon Kangas, Jr. of Chicago, IL and David (Christine) Kangas of Wooster, OH; three grandsons; brothers Leroy Kangas of Eveleth, MN, Donald Kangas of Beloit, WI and Dale Kangas of Eveleth, MN; sisters Arlene Selin of Cloquet, MN and June Flannagan of Virginia, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Eaton Church of the Brethren, 813 Camden Road, Eaton, OH 45320 with Pastor Martin Peacock and Pastor Stan Van Ausdal officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the church and one hour prior to services on Saturday also at the church.
