Gordon D. Paxson

Gordon D. Paxson, age 98, of Eaton, OH, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at his residence.  He was born May 17, 1925 in West Alexandria, OH to the late Claude and Ruth (Rurode) Paxson. Gordon was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran that served during WWII; and was a charter member of the Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church in Trotwood, OH. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline E. Paxson; brothers, Dale Paxson and Larry Paxson; and sisters, Carolyn Ebersole and Phyllis Humphrey. He is survived by his son, Joe (Linda) Paxson of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Jane (Mark) Nagy of Centerville, OH; grandchildren, Jason Paxson, Stephanie (Brandon) Davis, Alex  Paxson, Natalie Nagy and Andy Nagy; great grandchildren, Sidney Davis, Delaney Davis, Hope Paxson, Seth Paxson, Cord Paxson, and Bell Paxson; sister, Anita Railsback; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends. The family would like to express a sincere appreciation for Rene Lair for the love and support she showed the family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Steve Lair officiating.
