Grace E Harrison

Grace E. Harrison, age 88, of West Manchester, OH, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville, OH. She married Bud T. Harrison on May 24, 1947. They lived in Dupont, IN the first few years of marriage, later moving to Eldorado, OH. Bud passed away on January 29, 1999. Grace lived with her oldest daughter a couple of years, then returned to living the way she and Bud had done for years, spending 6 months in FL and 6 months in OH with her daughter and son-in-law. Grace was a member of the PTA, Home Demo (part of the Home Extension Office) and for many years was a 4-H Leader. She was a member of Prices Creek Church of the Brethren, West Manchester and Baptist Church in Bunnell, FL. As a couple Grace and Bud were starting members of Prebles Little Turtles and Slow Downers camping clubs. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death her grandson Brandon Thomas Harrison; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters Linda (Gary) Root of West Manchester, OH and Sandra K. Williams of Arizona; son Stephen (Rhonda) Harrison of Florida; Buds nephew raised as a son Carroll (Toni) Hall of the Hawaiian Islands; grandchildren Andreana (Tony) Scarberry, Jason (Aran) Smith, Kevin Williams, Kelly Williams and Justin Harrison; great grandchildren Ashlee Brown, Cailee Brown; Madie Harrison, Bri Dodds, Bronsyn Dodds; step great grandchildren Heavenly, Shay and Morgan; sister Marge Nyghan of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main St., Eaton, OH with Tim Shoemaker officiating.
