Grover C. Hobbs

Grover C. Hobbs, age 80, of Eaton, OH and formerly of Camden, OH passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.  He was born August 8, 1942 in Lee County, KY to the late Clayton and Verssie (Toler) Hobbs.  Grover was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Gratis, OH; retired as a custodian from Preble Shawnee Schools; and loved baseball.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gerlene Hobbs; brothers Shelby, Cecil, Wayne Hobbs; sisters Norma Winkleman, Wanda Mills, Phyllis Schriber; and sister-in-law Carlee Wilson.  He is survived by his son Chris (Jennifer) Hobbs of Eaton, OH; daughter Lori (Tim) Keehner of Camden, OH;  6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; special caretaker Alice Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Private services at the convenience of the family.  Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
