Harold R. Horn, age 75, of Lewisburg, OH passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, OH. He was born July 30, 1937 in Preble County to the late Russell and Fern House Horn. He was raised on the family farm in Preble County and graduated from Monroe High School in 1956; he was a former Fire Chief and volunteer firefighter for the Lewisburg Volunteer Fire Department; was a former member of the Lewisburg Board of Public Affairs for over 20 years; was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and American Legion Riders; was a member of the American Legion Post #65, Richmond, IN; and he retired from the Timken Company of Eaton, OH. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Ann Gebhart Horn of Lewisburg, OH; daughters Belinda (Steve) Moeller of Eaton, OH and Sherry (Marvin) Mescher of Vandalia, OH; granddaughter Tiffany Moeller of Charlotte, NC; grandsons John and Clayton Mescher of Vandalia; sister Martha Jane (Lynn) Young of Middletown, OH; brother John (Carol) Horn of Vandalia, OH; mother-in-law Marie Gebhart of Lewisburg, OH; sister-in-law Rita (Mark) Madigan of Lewisburg, OH; brother-in-law Steve (Becky) Gebhart of Lewisburg, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
