Harold T. "Nuby" Lewis

April 25, 1929 — January 5, 2014

Harold T. Nuby Lewis, age 84, of Eldorado, OH, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Vancrest Health Care Center, Eaton, OH. He was born April 25, 1929 in Richmond, IN to the late Everett and Lucille Lewis. He retired from S & K Construction as a heavy equipment operator; served as Fire Chief for the Eldorado Fire Department for several years; and was an avid woodworker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Betty Mukes and Mary White; and brother Donald Lewis. He is survived by his children Rick Lewis of New Paris, OH, Ron Lewis of Eaton, OH, Robin (David) Oda of Arcanum, OH, Dawn Sims of Springboro, OH and Kelly Crowell of Hollansburg, OH; grandchildren Donald Lewis, Michael Lewis, Carlee Oda, Ben Oda, Colton Oda, Carsee Oda, Jenny Oda, Steve Crowell, Payton Ott, Harper Sims, Gannon Sims, Shadrick Delk, Cantrel Decker; and great grandchildren Logan Wells, Audrey Oda, Hayden Oda, Bella Good, Courtney Good, Ciara Decker, Caden Decker and Corrynn Decker, Ethan Delk and Mackenzie Delk. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Castine Church of the Brethren, 624 U.S. Route 127 South, Arcanum, OH with Pastor Greg Hyre officiating. Burial will be in Wares Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester, OH. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5-8 pm at the church. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
