Harry James "Buddy" Phillips

Harry James “Buddy” Phillips, age 75, of Lewisburg, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born April 4, 1948 in Dayton to the late Harry and Rosa Catherine Phillips, Jr.  Buddy was a graduate of Twin Valley South High School; was a U.S. Army veteran that served during the Vietnam War; was an active member of the Covenant of Peace Church in Eaton; and enjoyed working on cars.  Buddy retired as a Heat and Frost Insulator out of Local #50 (originally #79 Dayton).  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother-in-law John Morrison.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vicki Phillips of Lewisburg; son Harry James “Jamie” (Iva Marie) Phillips, Jr. of Lewisburg; daughter Wendy (Michael) Aldridge of Poth, TX; grandchildren: Dora Paige (Bobby) Smith, Harry James “Conner” Phillips, Mariah Isabella Phillips, Archer James Phillips and Emma Lynn Aldridge; sisters Kathy (Timothy) Halcomb and Judith Morrison both of Eaton; sisters-in-law Sharon (John) Jaudon of Fairborn and Pamela Sue (Francis) Green of Lewisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Covenant of Peace Church, 4745 U.S 127 North, Eaton, OH with Pastor Ken Harbaum and Dr. Rev. Raymond Rothwell officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria.  Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the Covenant of Peace Church.
