Harry Phillips

Harry Phillips, Jr., age 90, of Eaton, OH, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. He was born May 13, 1923 in Washington Courthouse, Fayette County, OH to the late Harry and Mary (Breakfield) Phillips, Sr. He was a 42 year member of the Full Gospel Temple, Eaton, OH, where he had served as a teacher, deacon and elder. He was a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran and served in the South Pacific as an airplane radio tech. He retired from Local #79 of the International Heat & Frost Asbestos Workers Union of Dayton, OH and was also a longtime farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Rosa Catherine (Rothwell) Phillips of Eaton, OH; son Harry (Vicki) Phillips III of Lewisburg, OH; daughters Kathy (Timothy) Halcomb and Judith (John) Morrison both of Eaton, OH; grandchildren Jason (Tina) Meredith, Jeremy (Mary) Meredith, Matthew (Misty) Morrison, Mindy (Wesley Carter) Morrison, Harry (Marie) Phillips IV, Wendy (Michael) Aldridge and Sean (Katelynn) Halcomb; great grandchildren Austin, Hunter, Samantha and Madison Meredith, Paige, Conner, Mariah and Archer Phillips, Emma Aldridge, Tanner Morrison, Jayla and Dallas Carter and Moriah, Myla, Shiloh and Charlotte Halcomb. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10:00 am until time of funeral services at 12:00 noon at the Full Gospel Temple, 4745 U.S Route 127 North, Eaton, OH. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Full Gospel Temple.
