Irene L. Williamson

Irene Lucille Rurode Williamson, age 95, of Bellefontaine, OH and formerly of Preble County, OH, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Heartland of Bellefontaine, where she had resided since 2001. She was born March 2, 1919 in Farmersville, OH to the late John H. and Virgie C. Rurode. She was a longtime employee of NCR in Dayton; and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Married to Robert Williamson, they retired to Clearwater, FL for 25 years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Robert who passed away in 1997; sister Dorothy Toops; and brother Hugh Rurode. She is survived by her sister Lois Rurode Ashworth of Bellefontaine, OH; nieces Diana (Art) Costin of Bellefontaine, OH and Sharon Ashworth Maybrook of Tampa, FL; and several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at the Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.
