Ivory VanWinkle

VANWINKLE, Ivory E., age 88 of Gratis, OH. died Wed. Aug. 7, 2013 at her residence.  She was born in Breathitt County, KY. to Joseph and Elizabeth (Little) Sweeney.  She had worked for Dayton Flexible Mfg. in Eaton for many years. She was a member of West Alexandria Community Christian Church. She loved gardening and painting.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Basil VanWinkle in 2001 and Beecher Stapleton in 1972.  Mrs. VanWinkle is survived by 4 sons,  Larry (Deborah) Stapleton, Champaign, IL., Mark Stapleton, Tucson , AZ., Glenn Stapleton, Pensacola, FL., and Wayne Stapleton, Gratis, OH., 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a sister, Jean Combs, London, KY.  Also deceased were her parents, a brother, Boyd Sweeney and several infant siblings.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Sat. Aug. 10, 2013 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Gratis, OH. with Rev. Doug Bottles officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sat. from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.
