James Robert Ashley, Jr., age 49, of Eaton, OH, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 16, 1965 in Dayton to Sandra Ashley and the late James R. Ashley, Sr. Rob loved being a private pilot; was a member of the Preble Amateur Radio Association; and was an avid gardener, loved farming and all of nature. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Katherine Ashley; mother Sandra Ashley; children Gregory, Emily and Melissa Howard; 7 grandchildren; sisters DeAnna Ashley Scheffler and Misty Brady; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his four legged hairy kid Scooter. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 10:00 am until time of funeral services at 12:00 noon at the Concord United Church of Christ, 2225 Concord-Fairhaven Road, Eaton, OH with Pastor Bob Shannon officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery, Eaton. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
