James E. “Jim” Williams, age 80, of Camden, OH, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Reid Health in Richmond, IN. He was born June 5, 1944 in Decatur, AL to the late Earl and Hazel Williams. Jim was a 1962 graduate of Seven Mile High School; retired from AK Steel (formerly Armco) after 30 years of employment; was a Pastor at Liberty Baptist Church in Camden for six years and preached for over 30 years at the Preble County Jail; and enjoyed building and working on cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Sherin DeTrou. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Williams; children Tim Williams, Kevin Williams, Candi Weller and Jeff (Jenny) Williams; grandchildren Jessica Roell, Erin Dowdy, Christopher Weller Sr, Rebekah Mackey, Scott Weller, Austin Gibbs, Darrian Kidd, Kelly Williams and Jayme Williams; great grandchildren Marlie & Dani Roell, Braxton, Isabella, & Finleigh Dowdy, Madison & Shelby Kinney, Christopher Jr, Timmy, & Nori Weller, Lily & Lincoln Mackey, Harper Weller, Cameron Neal & Jax Huey, and Penelope Kidd; sister Kim (Pete) Siebrand; brother Tom (Jean) Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements.
