HORA, James âJimmyâ W., age 96 of Lanier Township, Farmersville, OH, passed away peacefully at his residence after a short illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born at his parentâs home on Chicken Bristle Road, Jackson Township, Farmersville, OH on August 3, 1920 to the late Eliza Rosa Belle (Goad) and John Adam Hora, Jr. He was a faithful born again Christian. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 half-brothers, Joseph E. Hora and Robert S. Hora, and a granddaughter, Jessica N. Hora. He was a 1938 Farmersville High School graduate with memberships in the National Rifle Association and the Twin Valley Road and Gun Club for many years. Jimmy was a retired farmer. He raised tobacco, strawberries, hogs and a variety of produce and field crops. At one time, being the largest hog producer in Preble County, Ohio. He enjoyed eating homemade ice cream, hunting and commercial fishing in Key Vaca, FL, with his many friends and family. Known for his quick wit and humor. He is survived by his wife Anita Grace (Burdge) Hora after 71 years of marriage, 8 children Bonnie (Tim) Hora Schmidt of Middletown, OH, William âBillâ (Cindy) Hora of New Paris, OH, Robert âBobâ (Susan) Hora of Lewisburg, OH, Beverly (Joe) Babis of Prosper, TX, Judy (Eric) Boshuizen of Broken Arrow, OK, Janie (Rick)Albrecht of Kettering, OH, Flora (Mike) Rectenwald of Tipp City, OH Frankie (Mary) Hora of West Alexandria, OH, and, 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, and 1 step great-great grandchild. The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to Ohioâs Hospice of Dayton and to Pastor Nick Wielander and his family for traveling from Florida to officiate. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home at 67 West Dayton Street , West Alexandria, Ohio. Burial will be in Germantown Union Cemetery.
