James E. Wilson

James E. Wilson, age 73, of Eaton, OH passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at his residence.  He was born August 26, 1947 in Richmond, IN to the late Donald and Bernice (Ruby) Wilson.  Jim was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War.  He worked at Geeding Auto in West Manchester; and retired from the Preble County Engineer’s Department.  He was a former volunteer firefighter for the village of West Manchester.  He enjoyed car shows, music and dancing.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bridget M. Wilson of Eaton, OH; sisters-in-law Sue Hall of Lewisburg and Kathy (Forrest) Leyes of West Manchester; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, OH with military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.   Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.gsbfuneralhome.com.
