Jim Retherford

Jim Retherford, age 71, of Eaton, OH passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at his residence. He was born January 9, 1943 in Hamilton, OH to the late Robert and Virginia Retherford. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served as a Sergeant during the Cold War; he was a member of the American Legion Post #322, West Alexandria, OH; and was a member of the Community Christian Church, West Alexandria, OH. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dorothy J. Retherford of Eaton, OH; children Mike (Sandy) Retherford of Florence, KY, Amy Retherford of Columbus, OH, Mandy (Eric) Hagemann of Columbus, OH, Michelle Brown of West Alexandria, OH and Larry Brown, II of West Alexandria, OH; grandchildren Sean Brown and Emma Brown both of Eaton; brothers Jerry Retherford of Franklin, OH and Steve (Bobbie Jean) Retherford of Hamilton, OH; sisters Connie Wolf of Middletown, OH and Jennifer (Don) Bensick of Sunman, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Community Christian Church, 11 Dorsey Akers Drive, West Alexandria, OH 45381 with Pastor Douglas Bottles officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
